THREADJACKING: I prefer not to have threads jacked. It tends to overwhelm me when I get a bunch of notifs in my inbox for my post that aren't related to my character.
SLOWTAGGING/BACKTAGGING: I'm totally fine with slow tagging as I have to do it myself.

IC CHARACTERISTICS: Information for players.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Joel's 5'11" and about 185 lbs. He's built pretty strong. His hair is black, curly, and is currently a little longer than in that picture. His dress style is adorably grey and he wears reading glasses, though not as often as he should. Despite what some of his icons indicate, he is never without a full beard.
DEMEANOR: Although he's better than he used to be, he's still fairly reclusive. He's quiet around new people and tends to stammer or stutter when he's nervous. Although he's more eloquent than he believes himself to be, when he's speaking to someone new, he'll hesitate a lot and take a long time to answer questions, wanting to give himself enough time to find the right words. He also chews on his lower lip when he's nervous and will pull his sleeves down over his hands.
PHYSICAL CONTACT: While he's slowly developed a certain level of comfort with some characters touching him unexpectedly, he's generally not very comfortable with it. He'll shake hands and has no problem with a quick, passing touch, but if anyone lingers and he doesn't know them well, he becomes uncomfortable fairly quickly.
FLIRTING: He won't react well. It used to be that he would just get uncomfortable, but now that he's married, he's likely to get angry as well. (Coop will always be the exception. Coop will just get friendly eye rolls. xD)
RELATIONSHIPS: Married to Spencer forever and ever.
HOME INFORMATION: He lives here with Spencer, Raleigh, Balto, Huxley and in July, BALLPIT BABY. He also owns Crossroads. The house in particular is protected by a charm that requires anyone entering for the first time to be invited in by Spencer, Joel or Raleigh.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Joel finds a lot of subjects annoying, but if you really want to piss him off, try being a misogynist. His mother is an active feminist and brought Joel up to be the same, so he doesn't hold with any behaviour like that and will not only call people on it, but will get actively very angry. Trying to suggest Spencer had anything to do with his mother and brother dying will also earn you a furious Joel.
POWERS: Joel's powers lean toward protection and healing, though he does not have the ability to just lay his hands on people to heal them. He makes exceptional protective charms and healing potions. He can also read auras, though he tries not to do it without permission, and he has premonitions that he's just now beginning to understand how to read. This is actually an ongoing plot with Joel right now.
IC PERMISSIONS: Permissions for IC game activity.
RELATIONSHIP CONTROL: Spencer (Erika) is the only one who should feel free to godmod Joel doing whatever. Charlotte (Shane) can also feel free to make up any sort of history between the two of them. Joel has only really been close to Lara (Rachel) in town until recently, so she can also feel free to make up history. Anyone else I'd ask to run things by me first, but given that Joel kept to himself for the past ten years, there's probably nothing I'd really say no to, provided it works within that context. :D
MENTAL: I'd ask this be run by me first.
FIGHTING/VIOLENCE: Absolutely! Just know that Joel, in defense of Spencer, has realized he's a lot better at throwing a punch than he used to think and is more prone to doing so now. XD
LURING: Lara has recommended he use anti-siren charms, which he tends to forget sometimes, so this is again something I'd ask to be run by me.
MAGIC: There's nothing in particular I can think of that he'd be more or less susceptible. I'm fine with people using magic on him without asking, so long as it's not going to godmod him or do something awful to him.
OTHER / NOTES: I'm pretty easy going and I like to plot things out, so always feel free to email or DM me or whatever you like!
