When Joel sees Aoife, he's already feeling kind of stunned at the number of people who have come to celebrate with them today. He's never been all that well-liked in town, as least as far as he's known, and Spencer has certainly faced his own problems, but there are people here. Lots of them. And they're all here because Joel's mother asked them to be.

It's a bit of a shock, but a happy one.

"Aoife, hi," he says when he sees her, relaxing into a more natural smile. At least she already knows he isn't exactly the best host in the world and won't expect him to be perfect at all times. "I'm glad you came."
