"Oh, I have a feeling an infant can sleep just about anywhere when it's time," Joel says with a soft laugh, looking down at Dane again. He rest a gentle hand over their son's back, feels him breathing for just a moment and a little thrill of excitement passes through him at the feeling. Dane is so small, all his organs, all his limbs, his fingers and toes, the little bones inside him. It's a marvel, really, one Joel can't seem to stop noticing.
"A month?" he asks a second later, looking up in surprise. "A month of food? That's incredible." Joel looks to cook, but he has to admit he doesn't know where he's going to find the time or energy to make meals over the next several weeks.
