Joel has passed Dane off to Spencer by now, has gone into the kitchen to make the both of them a cup of tea and warm up some formula as Dane has started to fuss a little bit and he'd like to have it ready if he wakes up and really started to cry. It's been a few hours and it's definitely getting close to time to eat again.

He doesn't hear the sound at the door, but he does get the text and he grins when he sees it's from Essie. Turning the kettle on, he puts the bottle on the counter and heads for the door so he can let her in.

"Spencer, Essie is here," he calls, his voice soft, still taking care not to wake Dane.
