Joel grins at Davin and nods. "Of course," he says as Spencer brings the bottle and the blanket into the room. It's probably a good idea, they're still trying to get used to the schedule and figure out when it is Dane likes to eat, when he prefers to sleep, what all happens in between, and it's better to be prepared than to end up scrambling for a bottle if he wakes up suddenly and begins to scream.

"Don't worry, it's easy," he assures Davin, shifting on the couch so he can lay Dane gently in his arms. "Here, just make sure his head is supported on your arm... yeah, just like that." And then he leans back again, still grinning, and reaches out blindly for Spencer's hand. Somehow seeing someone else hold the baby, someone they consider a dear friend, it's almost as nice as holding Dane himself. "Spencer, I need my phone. I have to take pictures."
